Wheeler Lake 2006

Tyler & I met up with a Yota to run this epic trail.
Follow up:
Just minutes out of Alma, CO there is a trail that many say is what Colorado wheeling is all about. Rocks, Mines, Obstacles, Loose and very wet at times.
The entrance to the trail is over 10,000 feet high and is only open a few months of the year due to the huge amount of snow in the area.
The three of us.
You quickly rise above tree line on this trail.
The warmth of the summer sun melts all the snow tht still sits higher up... makes for some very wet wheeling at times.
Tyler got hung up once. Very steep, loose, boulder climb. If he had one more inch of clearance he would have made it.
Up at Wheeler Lake it self.
After having lunch the trip back down was a breeze. The exit can be a little interesting at times.
Another awesome day... lots of fun with the family.
